Aus einem Entwurf zu einer ortsspezifischen Arbeit hat Tim Stapel eine Methode zur Erzeugung geometrischer Formen entwickelt. Über Faltungen eines Grundrasters generiert er eine Gruppe von zueinander in Beziehung stehenden Einzelelementen. Diese wird auf verschiedenste Räume anwendbar: Durch einfache Reihung der Elemente lassen sich unterschiedlichste Großstrukturen erzeugen.
Als eine Ableitung hiervon hat Tim Stapel ein auf die Wände des Plattenpalastes bezogenes Wandrelief erarbeitet.

Tim Stapel
Out of the designs for a site-specific artwork, Tim Stapel has developed a method of generating geometric forms. By folding a basic grid, he creates a group of individual shapes which nonetheless have a specific relationship to each other. These shapes can then be used in a great variety of different spaces: through simple arrangements of the individual elements, many different larger structures can be created.
As an outgrowth of this project, Stapel created a wall relief that relates and refers to the walls of the Plattenpalast.
