Mit der Ausstellung „Sätze“ zeigt Monika Brandmeier Arbeiten in verschiedenen Medien – Zeichnung, Fotografie, Skulptur – denen gemeinsam ist, dass in ihnen einzelne Elemente auf einleuchtende Weise zusammengefügt und zusammengehalten werden. Diese Konstellationen sind niemals nur Möglichkeit oder Variante, nie beiläufig im Sinne eines Fundstücks oder einer charmanten Beobachtung, sondern klare Sätze, nach deren Lektüre man versteht, dass sie vor allem von ihrer eigenen Grammatik handeln.

Monika Brandmeier – Sätze
In “Sätze” [„Sentences“, also „Sets“], Monika Brandmeier exhibits works in various media — drawing, photography, sculpture — in all of which individual elements come together and cohere in a convincing way. These constellations are never possibilities or variations, never incidental in the sense of found objects or charming observations. Rather, they are clear sentences, and after reading them one understands that their subject is above all their own grammar.
