drj art projects zeigt mit OUTBREAK die vierte Einzelausstellung der Künstlerin Esther Stocker in ihrer Berliner Programmgalerie. Der thematische Fokus liegt dabei in der Komposition von Malerei und Form und dem Zusammenwirken von Innen- und Außenraum, sowie der Relation und dem Übergang zwischen beidem.
Ausgehend von ihrer Kerndisziplin Malerei hat Esther Stocker [*1974 in Silandro/Schlanders, IT] in mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten ein vielfältiges Œuvre geschaffen. Ihre Grundthemen von Ordnung und Abweichung, Geometrie und Störung, sowie deren Visualisierung vornehmlich im Maximalkontrast schwarz-weiß, hat sie dabei auf Installation und Skulptur, die Gestaltung von Architektur und öffentlichen Raum, Mode und Bekleidung, Möbeln und Alltagsgegenständen erweitert. Ihre stets nach schlüssigen Parametern im Zusammenwirken mit individueller künstlerischer Freiheit aufgebauten Werke haben ihr international große Bekanntheit verschafft. Insbesondere ihre großen rauminstallativen und architekturbezogenen Werke sind von Europa bis Fernost im musealen wie im öffentlichen Raum sehr gefragt. Sie kooperiert disziplinübergreifend mit renommierten Partner:innen von Haute Couture über Musik bis Performance, während ihre Malerei und Skulptur international gesammelt wird.
In der Folge ihrer Ausstellungen bei drj art projects in Berlin werden in OUTBREAK, wie schon bei ON ARCHITECTURE [2017] ausschließlich Werke von Esther Stocker selbst die inhaltliche Darstellung und Komposition der Ausstellung leisten. Daneben waren insbesondere in ANARCHY OF FORMS [2019] und THE CONTINUITY OF ATTENTION [2015] seinerzeit aktuelle thematische Fragen auch durch die Gegenüberstellung mit Gastkünstler:innen deutlich gemacht worden.

drj art projects stages OUTBREAK, the fourth solo exhibition by artist Esther Stocker in her Berlin programme gallery. The thematic focus is on the composition of painting and form together with the interaction of interior and exterior space, as well as the relation and transition between these.
Based on her core discipline of painting, Esther Stocker [*1974 in Silandro/Schlanders, IT] has created a diverse oeuvre over more than two decades. Her basic subjects of order and deviation, geometry and disturbance, as well as their visualization primarily in the maximum of contrast black and white, she has thereby expanded to installation and sculpture, the design of architecture and public space, fashion and clothing, furniture and everyday objects. Her works, always structured according to coherent parameters in conjunction with individual artistic freedom, have brought her international reputation. In particular, her large-scale spatial installation and architecture-related works are in high demand from Europe to the Far East in both museum and public spaces. She collaborates across disciplines with renowned partners from haute couture through music to performance, while her painting and sculpture are collected internationally.
Following her solo exhibitions at drj art projects in Berlin, in OUTBREAK as in ON ARCHITECTURE [2017], works by Esther Stocker herself will exclusively provide the content and composition of the exhibition. Besides, in ANARCHY OF FORMS [2019] in particular, and in THE CONTINUITY OF ATTENTION [2015], then current thematic questions were also highlighted through the juxtaposition with guest artists.
